1. Cook captures crown in cakewalk
   Last weekend’s Tura Beach men’s golf open competition was the last of a four competition sequence in the annual RBS Morgans Tura Week of Golf.
2. Wollongong claims Dolphin Pairs
   Last week’s 2013 edition of the Club Sapphire ladies invitational Dolphin Pairs lawn bowls tournament saw Wiseman Park combination Sue Wood and Mary Sheather claim the prize with a near floorless display winning all five of their games in style.
3. Pimm takes out “The Origimal”
   Sydney surfer Christian Pimm made the best of small conditions to take out the 27th “The Origimal” Malibu surf competition at Merimbula’s Main Beach on Saturday.
4. Competition on air route ruled out
   NSW Transport Minis-ter, Gladys Berejiklian, has told Bega Valley Shire Council that there will be no competition at Merimbula Airport given the current numbers of passengers.
5. Supporters gathered to mark a decade
   Political supporters and friends gathered at Robyn’s Nest restaurant, Merimbula on Friday May 17 to celebrate member for Bega, Andrew Constance’s decade of representation for the state constituency.
