Families can walk around the rock pools and surfers can catch a break on the point. It is also a great place to launch a kayak to go for a paddle and experience life from on top of the water. Short Point is also a popular spot with surfers and it has great views of Tura Beach and out to the Pacific Ocean. The headland provides the opportunity to see whales migrating (in season) or a great place to walk your dog in an off-leash environment.

National Parks and Nature
Bushwalkers and Naturist will revel in the opportunity to take on some amazing walks like the Light to Light, in Ben Boyd National Park, whilst the less energetic can enjoy shorter more accessible walks like the Merimbula Boardwalk, or the walk from Spencer Park to Bar Beach.
If you want to really get out to nature, you can also visit the Nethercote or Mumballa Falls, both which provide a great day out and family fun at the swimming holes.
